Built Heritage Research (BHR) is a project initiated by Alex Lawrey (responsible for research, writing and photography), his father Chris Lawrey (web programming) and Alex's cousin Matt Biggs (graphic design, photography) with further support from our friends and wider families (many thanks to Ben Bechka, Jill and John Morley and the Taunton U3A geology group!). BHR takes an eclectic look at many varied aspects of the historic environment from architectural history to heritage landscapes, building materials and techniques, the conservation and restoration of the fabric of historic buildings, and the crafts of construction industry workers. BHR is an entirely voluntary project with no financial support, or advertising and is intended as a means of exploring issues surrounding heritage buildings and environments in an accessible but intelligent manner. Comments and contributions are welcome, please see our CONTACT page.
